Things have been quite fluid lately around here at the Clarity Sailing Adventures domicile… new schools, promotions, other changes at home and offices, and, well, all sorts of things. All are good, but they have done some twisting and turning to our schedules. Therefore, it appears that 2013 is the year for me to do something I’ve always wanted to do: enter the Everglades Challenge solo.
Now Clarity is too unwieldy to manage at Checkpoint One by myself (I’d sail her from St. Pete to Key Largo singlehanded anytime, but I’d skip the Checkpoints that make the Everglades Challenge so, well, challenging), so I’m going to use our AMF Puffer Discovery instead. Sue and Justin will be my ground and support crew, and I will finally get to do a solo voyage of more than 48 hours. Granted, it’s not the crossing of the Atlantic that I promised myself as a kid, but when you look at the size of the boat, well… it’s close enough for me!
More details to follow soon!
